I guess if anybody invites me to a game of football, I think I should get ready some vitamin M first. I broke 4 spectacles after being shot in the face quite some time because of playing football.

Maybe this will be a chance to change a new spectacles.

So i’ll play football,  someones shots hard and hit my face, spectacles break, go home with unclear vision, complain to mum, go to the nearest spectacles shop.

It’s quite weird to see this to happen. According to the source, the magazine sold more than 600,000 copies with this mistake. Maybe the PhotoShop editors did notice the mistake but were not willing to change it. How come? Maybe they were reluctant to trash all copies of the magazine because of one minor mistake?

Well, this minor detail didn’t go well with readers. They are not happy.

Nice phone huh? It’s kind of outdated now as Nokia has released other beautiful phones. I USED to have this phone. Now it’s gone. Why? How come?

A hiking trip to Malaysia gone awry as my phone, passport, keys and wallet got soaked. The zipped lock bag that I put this phone in had a punctured hole. My heart sank and I tried many ways to rid the water off my phone. It was to no avail. My phone went to R.I.P mode.

I found an article about saving phones which I wished I’d found earlier.

(1) It’s a lifesaver if you have uncooked rice.

The story goes that after 20 seconds or so, quickly remove the battery of the soaked phone and let the phone “rest” in uncooked rice. Leave it to dry and you should pray for it to survive. The writer of the article says that his phone worked after a couple of days “bathing” in rice. Of course, not all feature of the phone was saved as his time function froze.

(2) Another article from wikihow suggests using alcohol.

This is a risky attempt at saving your phone but as you know, in secondary school science alcohol evaporates fast. This is a good component of saving a phone. It says soak you phone (in a bucket in my opinion) in alcohol. In a couple of days later, the phone should work.

In the hiking trip there was no alcohol but there was surely uncooked rice. I wished I could asked for some rice from my friends and let my phone bath in it.

Now my phone is gone.

I’m currently using an old phone which ironically, is water resistant somehow.

I find this truly useful for LEO purposes. I don’t have to go to another tab just to look at what my grades are. I click on a small blue opaque link and a small box appears. In the small box shows my team comments, personal comments and other stuff related to LEO.

I’m going to use it for sure.

It is still in its beta stage; but according to many it’s still in its Alpha stage. I’ve downloaded it and tried it out. The first thing that you’ll notice is that the words seem blurry. The fonts seem to be thicker and not so easy on the eyes of for those who are used to IE 7 or Firefox 2.0.

How come? Is there something wrong with my laptop? Well, according to a source I read, it’s not. It has to do with the Mac engineers altering the fonts. They perceive differently from Windows on how fonts should be displayed.

I have been using Safari browser for the past 2 days and I think it’s not as good as Firefox that I’m currently using.

Disadvantages (in my opinion)

(1) If you accidentally close Safari browser and you were surfing 10 websites (equivalent to 10 tabs), it won’t recover the 10 tabs for you.

(2) It keeps shutting down when I tried to import my bookmarks and when i surf dailymotion.com videos.

(3) Some web pages are not displayed properly. The pictures won’t display for example.

(4) They don’t have plug-ins for colored tabs. I like colored tabs to differentiate the different websites that i go to (sometimes i browsed 15 websites = 15 tabs at one go)

Advantages (in my opinion)

(1) It has an RSS reader. Now I don’t have to use RSSOwl to read my favourite blogs.

(2) People like me who loves to try new things will love the new look (the blurry fonts for example)

In my opinion, I’ll use it when Mac releases a new patch. I think I’ll stick with Firefox for now. Now, I’m trying to use any software not Windows related.

I like to try something new.

What if you want to rename these pictures to be like movies (1), movies (2), movies (3) and so on? True enough you can rename each picture one by one; but wouldn’€™t that be troublesome if you have to rename 100 picture files?

I found a small windows tweak (or maybe a hack to some) that I found…

a YEAR back.

1^st

Click on your first picture that you have on your folder. Example below.

2^nd

While holding the shift key, click on the last picture you have. Example below.

3^rd

Right-click on the last photo. Rename the picture as you’€™d like it to be. An example would be background (1). Example below.

That’€™s all. Easy right?

Now your first picture will be named for example picture (1). This is followed by picture (2), picture (3) until maybe picture (50).

“Geek to live. Don’€™t live to geek” or is the other way round?

I don’t know whether this is applicable to Windows Vista. Try it out if you have one.

This time technology has caught up with us and things have become much simpler thanks to the programmers at Adobe labs.
